About Prague Zoo
Prague Zoo is located near the famous Troja Botanic Garden and Troja Castle. This territory was presented to the government of Czech Republic by a philanthropist at the beginning of the XX century. After several years of projecting the first Czech Zoo, several species found new house in the newly constructed aviaries. Among the pilgrims were horses, wolves and several birds.
If you look at the Prague Zoo map, you will notice that it’s territory as well as the number of inhabitants increased numerously. Today visitors coming to Czech Capital can observe and take photos of more than 5000 specimens of fauna. The total area of the Zoo covers about 60 hectares. Therefore tourists should be aware to plan the whole day for this great park with animals. During 2-3 hours it is completely impossible to see even a half of what they have in Prague Zoo.
By the way locals with their children also like to visit the place. Because everyone can not only see the animal, but also to observe them and learn their bihavour and of course to take a photos with a lion or an elephant for example.
