Prague Sightseeing Tour with a Photographer

A sightseeing tour with a photographer creates a visual record while the city is being explored. The route on this page moves from central squares to the river and Kampa, with enough variety for couples, families and children.
Two hours supports a compact walk. Early morning reduces traffic around major landmarks and gives the group time to settle before the busiest streets fill.

Wenceslas Square and Old Town
Begin below the National Museum or near Můstek according to the planned direction. Wenceslas Square supplies long architectural lines, while nearby passages provide shelter and less formal frames. The walk then enters narrower streets toward Old Town Square.

At the Astronomical Clock, use the edge of the square instead of standing in the center of the hourly crowd. Týn Church and the painted facades remain visible from several lanes. Children can move more naturally when each stop is brief and has a simple action.

Vltava riverbank and Kampa
The river opens the composition after the enclosed Old Town lanes. Bridges, trams and the Castle Hill skyline add context without needing everyone to face the camera. Wind can be stronger beside the water, so secure scarves and loose hair before a portrait sequence. Kampa offers tree cover, the Čertovka channel and textured walls within a small area. The photographer can alternate full family groups with individual and couple frames. Feeding swans is unnecessary and can disturb wildlife, so keep the session on the paved bank.

Lennon Wall and Charles Bridge
The Lennon Wall changes frequently and provides strong color when the light is flat. Space in front is limited, and the group should keep the lane open. From there, the route reaches Charles Bridge through Malá Strana streets or returns along Kampa.

Bridge photographs work from the approach, the riverbank and the span itself. A side view often handles crowds better than a centered frame. If the group is tired, finish near a tram stop instead of forcing an extra climb toward Prague Castle.

Preparing a family photo walk
Choose coordinated colors without identical outfits and use shoes suitable for cobbles. Bring water, a small snack and one compact layer for each child. Avoid carrying several bags because every stop then begins with moving and hiding belongings. Tell the photographer about mobility, naps or sensory needs before the session. Confirm image delivery, private-use rights and weather arrangements in writing. The route should flex around the family rather than measure success by the number of landmarks crossed.
